Each species are shown in the order listed and no time table is given.  The number of entries and the pace at which the judge places the animals determines how fast the show will go.  The judge will describe what features he likes about the livestock and what he doesn’t like as well as why he places them 1st to ?? (last).  The exhibitors will be preparing their livestock project before the start of the show.  Each species are judged and a grand champion and reserve grand champion are selected.  All exhibitors vie for a grand or reserve because it brings the most at the auction.

Showmanship is judged by how much the exhibitor knows about their project (breeding, feeding, gaining, meat cuts, etc.), and how well the project is “shown” to the judge by bracing a lamb, driving a swine, setting up a steer, or walking/loping a horse.

Poultry and rabbits are also shown in a particular way – handling the project and displaying different features of the project to the judge.  The judge asks an exhibitor about their poultry or rabbit project for the showmanship award.

4H/FFA Indoor exhibits will be inside the exhibit hall.  These items are handmade or grown by each exhibitor and judged based on set criteria.

Exhibitors pick a topic to demonstrate what they have learned this past year.  The topics vary ranging from preparing a dish, preparing an animal for show, etc. for a demonstration.  Exhibitors range from age 8 – 19 years of age divided into novice, juniors, and seniors.  Public speaking topics vary and are related to 4H/FFA experience through the year.  Talent Shows can be performed individually or by a club.
